As has been the theme so often in this young season, the Hustlers struggled to get anything going offensively in game one and fell behind 4-2 heading into the final frame. That’s when jack Duffy (Urbana) led off with a scorching line drive single to left and beat the throw to second on a fielder’s choice by Taylor Itnyre (Brunswick). Jordan Tapley (Smithsburg) got the win on the mound with 2 1/3 innings of hitless relief and three strikeouts. The bats showed up in game two to the tune of 15 hits and the Hustlers cruised to a 17-3 win.
